What COSMOS means
An international standard, checked independently
COSMOS is an international standard for natural and organic cosmetics. Certified formulas are checked by an independent certification body, from the origin of their ingredients to how they are made and packaged.
Level one
COSMOS NATURAL
The formula meets the COSMOS requirements for natural cosmetics. It may contain organic ingredients, without a minimum organic content.
Level two
COSMOS ORGANIC
Everything COSMOS NATURAL requires, plus organic content: at least 95% of the agro-ingredients must be organic, and at least 20% of the total formula (10% for rinse-off products).

The role of ECOCERT Greenlife
ECOCERT Greenlife is an independent organisation that audits formulas against the COSMOS standard. Certification belongs to each individual formula, not to a brand as a whole: BEAUTY NINA as a company is not itself certified by ECOCERT or COSMOS.

Beyond COSMOS, every BEAUTY NINA product is made and placed on the market under recognised standards. The manufacturing certifications belong to our manufacturing partner and its facility.
